Caster Semenya won the 800 meters world championship gold medal in Berlin in 2009 was recently cleared to run after her career was held back due to gender testing. She grew up in this rural village in Limpopo, northern South Africa, and she started running only a few years ago, and quickly appeared from nowhere to the world stage.
