Bruce Mashego, age 11, a blind boy, gets dressed in a bedroom around 6Am after taking a shower at Sibonile (means: we have seen) School for the Blind in Klipriver, south of Johannesburg, South Africa. A blind woman founded the school in 1994. The school has about 125 students from disadvantaged communities around South Africa. Many of the children have faced rejection from their families and communities, and at Sibonile they have a chance for a good education. (Photo by: Per-Anders Pettersson)
