Barbara Noortman, age 53, prays before eating with her son in their living room in Orania, an all white community in South Africa. The village was founded in 1991, and bought by descendants of Hendrik Verwoerd, the architect of Apartheid. It’s a private town only accepting whites and about 600 Afrikaners celebrate their culture and keep traditions alive. (Photo by: Per-Anders Pettersson)
