Zulu maidens wash themselves in a river on March 11, 2005 in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa. About fifty girls celebrated their virginity by marching trough the streets of the township. The girls were earlier checked if they were virgins or not. Soweto is the biggest township in South Africa, and has a population of about 3.5 million.
