Unidentified prisoners accused of the Genocide in 1994, work in a brick-making factory on February 2, 2003 outside Butare Prison in Butare, Rwanda. About 100.000 prisoners accused of the genocide are still in prison. About 800.000 mainly Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in about one hundred days in 1994. Rwanda is currently trying to cope with these huge problems and some prisoners that have confessed to crimes can be tried in village trials, known as Gacacas. (Photo by: Per-Anders Pettersson)
