Palesa is part of the new young generation of black South African's who has obtained a better education and opportunities than their parents. She organizes big events for government departments and private business. Because of being  black and a women, she can tender for government contracts much easier than being a white person. She grew up in Soweto but lives in a posh Johannesburg suburb and drives a late model BMW. Soweto is the largest township in South Africa, located about 10 kilometers southwest of downtown Johannesburg. The population is estimated to be around 2-3 million. (Photo by Per-Anders Pettersson)
