MALUKU, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO APRIL 26: Unidentified people disembark a boat on April 26, 2006 in the port in Maluku, Congo, DRC. About five hundred people traveled for seven weeks on the Congo River. A distance of about1750 kilometers from Kisangani to Kinshasa. The port is a small port about 50 kilometers from the capital Kinshasa. Many villagers come here to trade goods. The Congo River is a lifeline for millions of people, who depend on it for transport and trade.
