Elphas Lukele, age 48, a farm worker that was assaulted by security commandos sent out by his farm boss on July 25, 2001, in Wakkerstrom, South Africa. He was shot in one eye and a hand. He was fired from the farm but is still living on the farmers land with 22 family members. .The South African government is facing growing pressure from the people in delivering land reform and redistribution of land that was taken during the old Apartheid regime.
