NYABIBWA, DRC OCTOBER 3: An unidentified artisan miner searches for cassiterite, better known as tin ore, inside a mine on October 3, 2006 in Nyabibwa, about 100 kilometers outside Goma, DRC. The red rock is very valuable and it?s the most traded metal on the London Exchange. It?s used in computers and mobile phones and DRC has one of the highest deposits in the world. Hundreds of boys and young men work here in dangerous conditions for small salaries. The mine as earlier run by the French but was taken over by the government and later closed.
