ARUSHA, TANZANIA - NOVEMBER 15: A cow carcass lies in a dried out water dam on November 15, 2009 in a rural area north of Arusha, Tanzania. This area has been severely affected by drought the last two years and as many as 3-4000 cattle has died in recent months. The Maasai tribe populates the area and many of them has given up on farming and traveled to cities such as Arusha to look for work. Indigenous peoples globally, such as the Maasai in Tanzania and Kenya, are disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change due to fragile and harsh ecosystems.
