XIAN, CHINA - JUNE 2: Zheng Cheng, age 74, a caretaker at a monument on the Silk Road rest in his bed in his one-room flat on June 2, 2007 in central Xian, China.  He has been a caretaker for the monument for many years ad lives I a small flat nearby. The city has about 3,3 million inhabitants and is the capital of Shaanxi province in China. It was the eastern terminus for the Silk Road and the location for the Terracotta Army during the Qin Dynasty. Its history dates back more than 3,100 years. (Photo by Per-Anders Pettersson)..
