Bonginkosi Bauuma, age 15, wash her body in the family shack before going to school on October 3, 2003 in Khayelitsha, the biggest black township outside Cape Town, South Africa. The family doesn't have electricity or running water. They heat water with a paraffin stove. Her father works as a cleaner at a primary school, and the mother at a pre-school.
