UPINGTON, SOUTH AFRICA - FEBRUARY 8: A person stands near the entrance to a room February 8, 2002 in Loisevale near Upington, South Africa. The bed in the room is the location where Baby Thsepang, an 8-month-old baby was raped by her father in October 2001. Loisevale is a poor and destitute black township where unemployment is high and a number of social problems including domestic violence and alcohol abuse exists. The baby rape shocked the country and it is struggling with an increasing number of rapes and sexual abuse of young children. The country has the highest number of rapes in the world.
