SOWETO, SOUTH AFRICA MAY 26: Sibu FDB, (c) a young designer part of the collective group Smarteez with colleagues in front of Mandela murals on May 26, 2012 close to Regina Mundi church in Soweto, South Africa. Known for their street style fashion they had a great opportunity recently to show their township inspired designs at South African fashion week. Soweto today is a mix of old housing and newly constructed townhouses. The population in Soweto is estimated to be around one million people. A new hungry black middle-class is growing steadily. Many residents work in Johannesburg but the last years many shopping malls have been built, and people are starting to spend their money in Soweto. (Photo by: Per-Anders Pettersson)
